Import SCORM or AICC packages as lesson slides
Learn how to import SCORM or AICC packages as lesson slides via the web app.
What are SCORM and AICC packages?
In e-learning or training, SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) and AICC (Aviation Industry Computer-Based Training Committee) are two popular standards for creating and delivering digital learning content. Both standards specify how e-learning content should be structured and packaged, allowing for compatibility with learning management systems (LMS) or learning content management systems (LCMS).
We understand that some organizations may already have existing LMS that facilitate training, so to make it easier for you to reuse existing content, you can easily import SCORM and AICC packages as lesson slides in your SafetyCulture courses.
Import a SCORM or AICC package as a lesson slide
Click Training from the menu on the left-hand side and select Manage.
Hover your cursor over the course and click Edit.
Create a new standard lesson or click an existing one.
In the left-hand side panel, click New slide.
In the pop-up window, select Advanced under "MORE" and click AICC or SCORM.
In the right-hand side panel, upload your AICC or SCORM package, then configure the slide accordingly.
Changes are saved automatically.
Please note that the training course experience on the mobile app may be suboptimal if a SCORM or AICC package's content wasn't built to support mobile screens.
