Zapier: Create custom inspection reports on Google Docs
Learn how to create a Zap to automatically create custom inspection reports on Google Docs.
Google Docs templates allow you to use the same document multiple times instead of building your whole document from scratch. Using integration tools such as Zapier, you can automatically create inspection reports from a Google Docs template with SafetyCulture inspection data. This not only allows you to add custom formatting in the form of fonts, colors, and headings but also saves you time when creating standardized documentation within your organization.
Take note
This Zap utilizes Google Docs to create custom reports. Make sure you have a Google Docs template created in advance. Keep in mind that you need to prepare each field you want to populate with SafetyCulture data in the format of "{{FieldName}}", using two curly brackets to wrap a single word. We recommend that you use words that can be referred to when creating the Zap, as shown in the following example:
Data that populates the custom reports are based on the inspections your account has access to. Learn how to give yourself inspection access by creating access rules or assigning the "Override permissions: View all data" permission.
