From EdApp single user organization to SafetyCulture multiple organizations

Learn how multiple organizations work in SafetyCulture and how they differ from EdApp's single organization.

Multiple organizations in SafetyCulture allows a single user to belong to more than one organization using the same email address and password. After logging in via web or mobile, a user can switch between organizations to access each organization's dedicated workspace, data, and permissions.

Meanwhile, in EdApp, a user can only belong to one organization at a time. This means workarounds are required if the same user needs to exist across multiple organizations, such as using email aliases or deactivating and reactivating a user before re-adding them. If a user already exists in another SafetyCulture organization with the same email address, you can't update their email to match it. Contact our customer support team for assistance.

Before migration, check whether your users already have SafetyCulture accounts under a different email address. This helps avoid email conflicts after migration.

Switch organizations

  1. Log in to the web app (opens in new tab).

  2. On the left-hand side of the top bar, click and select the organization you want to switch to. The Home page open showing the option to switch between organizations.

  3. If you haven't logged in using password or single sign-on (SSO) for a while, you may be prompted to log in again.
