Archive sensors and remove gateways
Learn how to archive sensors and remove gateways for your organization on the web app and the mobile app.
What you'll need
Archiving a sensor is irreversible. While the archived sensor's historical data will always be available, re-adding the sensor will create it as a new data point, separate from the previously archived sensor's data logs.
Archive a sensor
Select Sensors from the menu on the left-hand side.
Click the sensor.
Click on the upper-right of the page.
Select Archive.
In the pop-up window, click Archive.
Open the mobile app.
Tap More at the lower-right corner of your screen.
Select Sensors from the list of options.
Tap the sensor.
Tap at the upper-right corner of your screen.
Select Archive.
In the pop-up window, tap Archive.
If you accidentally archived a sensor, you can re-add the sensor by following our guide. You can also follow our guide for Monnit sensors, and weather data feeds.
Remove a gateway
Select Sensors from the menu on the left-hand side.
Click the gateway.
Click on the upper-right of the page.
Select Remove gateway.
In the pop-up window, click Continue.
Open the mobile app.
Tap More at the lower-right corner of your screen.
Select Sensors from the list of options.
Tap the gateway.
Tap at the upper-right corner of your screen.
Select Remove gateway.
In the pop-up window, tap Continue.
Once you remove a gateway, it will no longer be associated with your organization, and any sensors connected to it will also no longer send data until they reconnect to a different gateway in your organization.
