Archive sensors and remove gateways

Learn how to archive sensors and remove gateways for your organization on the web app and the mobile app.

Archiving a sensor is irreversible. While the archived sensor's historical data will always be available, re-adding the sensor will create it as a new data point, separate from the previously archived sensor's data logs.

Archive a sensor

  1. Log in to the web app.

  2. Select Sensors from the menu on the left-hand side.

  3. Click the sensor.

  4. Click image on the upper-right of the page.

  5. Select Archive.

  6. In the pop-up window, click Archive.

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Tap Assets gallery view iconMore at the lower-right corner of your screen.

  3. Select Sensors from the list of options.

  4. Tap the sensor.

  5. Tap image at the upper-right corner of your screen.

  6. Select Archive.

  7. In the pop-up window, tap Archive.

If you accidentally archived a sensor, you can re-add the sensor by following our guide. You can also follow our guide for Monnit sensors, and weather data feeds.

Remove a gateway

  1. Log in to the web app.

  2. Select Sensors from the menu on the left-hand side.

  3. Click the gateway.

  4. Click image on the upper-right of the page.

  5. Select Delete iconRemove gateway.

  6. In the pop-up window, click Continue.

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Tap Assets gallery view iconMore at the lower-right corner of your screen.

  3. Select Sensors from the list of options.

  4. Tap the gateway.

  5. Tap image at the upper-right corner of your screen.

  6. Select Delete iconRemove gateway.

  7. In the pop-up window, tap Continue.

Once you remove a gateway, it will no longer be associated with your organization, and any sensors connected to it will also no longer send data until they reconnect to a different gateway in your organization.
