AI in SafetyCulture

Learn how SafetyCulture uses artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline workflows across the platform.

How is AI used in SafetyCulture?

SafetyCulture uses AI technologies to enhance user experience across various features on the platform. We currently offer the option to use AI for creating templates and training courses.

Templates

Here's how you can use AI to create templates:

  • Text prompt: Describe your template and let the AI engine generate it with relevant content and questions.

  • Media upload: Upload image or PDF files of existing forms or checklists so the AI engine can convert them into usable templates for your organization.

Training

Here's how you can create and enhance courses using AI:

  • Creation prompt: Enter a description of your topic or take photos of existing materials to generate a course, lesson, or lesson slide.

  • Document upload: Upload PPT, PDF, and DOCX files of training and compliance documents to convert them into course content.

  • Text editing: Highlight text in lessons and the AI editor can rewrite your content to expand, simplify, or adjust its tone.

  • Course translation: Select a course to translate into any desired language using an AI translation service.

Inspection reports

Here's how you can enhance inspection report layouts using AI:

  • Report summary: Configure the setting to let the AI provider generate a brief summary for each inspection report.

What data is passed through AI services?

To assist in content creation and improvement for templates and training courses, we use the following AI services to process data:

  • Amazon Textract by Amazon Web Services (AWS): Used to convert media content from image and PDF files into a set of text descriptions.

  • Bing Search: Used for themed images in course creation.

  • Google's Cloud Translation AI: Used to translate a course into any language.

  • OpenAI: Used for text or images entered in the course creation prompt, highlighted text when using AI text editor in lessons, text used as template description, and report layouts for generating inspection report summaries.
