What are asset status groups?
Asset status groups in SafetyCulture are configurable sets of status options that admins can create and assign to asset types. They help organizations track the operational state of each asset, supporting day-to-day decisions about which equipment to use and what needs attention. Asset status is visible and editable across the asset list and asset profile on the web app and mobile app. Each status group contains color-coded statuses. For example, a group for equipment availability might include options like In Use, Under Repair, and Out of Service. This gives organizations a consistent way to track and communicate asset state, so teams can quickly see which assets are available, in use, or need attention.

Select Activos in the sidebar or select it in Más.
Click Ajustes on the upper-right of the page.
In Estado, click Crear grupo on the upper-right of the page.
In the pop-up window, enter the group name and description. Then, click Crear.
In the "Statuses" section, click Añadir estado on the right-hand side of the page.
In the new status field, enter the status name and select a color.
Under "Asset types," click the dropdown menu and select the asset type you want to assign the asset group to.
Click Guardar on the upper-right of the page.
Puede crear un máximo de 10 grupos de estados por organización, con hasta 10 estados por grupo.
Editar un grupo de estados
Select Activos in the sidebar or select it in Más.
Click Ajustes on the upper-right of the page.
In Estado, click on the right-hand side of the status group that you want to edit, then select Editar.
Rename the group or update its description.
In the "Statuses" section, create or manage asset statuses.
Create a new status: Click Añadir estado on the right-hand side of the page. In the new status field, enter the status name and select a color.
Edit a status: In the status field, edit the name of the status or select a new color.
Reorder statuses: Click to drag the status to your preferred arrangement.
Delete a status: Click on a status' right-hand side and select Eliminar.
Under "Asset types," click the dropdown menu and select or change the asset type you want to assign the asset group to.
Click Guardar on the upper-right of the page.
Eliminar un grupo de estados
Seleccione Activos en la barra lateral o selecciónelo en Más.
Haga clic en Ajustes en la parte superior derecha de la página.
En Estado, haga clic en en el lado derecho del grupo de estados que desea eliminar y luego seleccione Eliminar.

When you delete a status group, the asset type assigned to it loses its group assignment. You must manually reassign the asset type to another status group.
