Report issues using AI

Learn how AI-powered reporting works in Issues and how to report an issue using AI via the mobile app, so you can spend less time on data entry and more time capturing what's happening on-site.

This feature is currently in Early Access. If you're interested, please contact your customer success manager to check if your organization is eligible.

How does AI-powered issue reporting work?

With AI-powered issue reporting, you can capture and submit issues faster without manually filling in every field. Record a voice note to capture details and attach photos for further context, and AI generates suggested values for the title, description, and any custom questions based on what you've shared.

You can review, edit, or clear any field before submitting, so the final report always reflects what you actually observed on site.

You don't need a SafetyCulture account to report issues via issue QR codes.

Report an issue using AI

  1. Scan the issue QR code. This should open a page via your device's default web browser.

  2. Tap Microphone icon to record a voice note, or enter a description of the issue manually.

  3. Tap Next.

  4. Tap Images iconAdd media to upload photos. You can upload up to 10 images per issue, with each image up to 10MB.

  5. Tap Next.

  6. The AI will generate suggested details for the issue. At the bottom of your screen, enter your name and email address or phone number. This allows stakeholders to contact you about your report.

  7. Review and edit the fields as needed.

  8. Tap Submit.

Limitations

  • Uploading videos isn't currently supported with AI-powered issue reporting.

Frequently asked questions

No. Anyone with access to the QR code or its link can report an issue, including people without a SafetyCulture account. To limit who can report, control where you share the QR code and who has access to it.

If the AI can't generate details, you'll need to fill in the details manually. This can happen if the photos are unclear or the voice note doesn't provide enough information about the issue.

To get the best results, make sure your photos clearly show the issue and that your voice note describes what happened as accurately as possible.
