Set default permission sets

Learn how to set default permission sets via the web app.

Why set default permission sets?

When you add users to your organization or change the seat type for existing users, each user will automatically be given the default permission set for their seat type. To prevent having to update each user's permission set after adding users or changing seat types at scale, it's best to ensure the default permission set for each seat type is precisely what you need as base permissions.

Set default permission sets

  1. Log in to the web app.

  2. Click your organization name on the lower-left corner of the page and select Permissions.

  3. Click image on the upper-right of the page and select Pencil iconSet default permission sets.

  4. In the pop-up window, select the default permission set for each seat type.

  5. Click Confirm.
