Copy template access rules
Learn how to duplicate or copy access rules from one template to another via the web app.What are access rules?
Access rules give you control over who can use a template to conduct inspections and who can view the inspection results. This helps teams focus on relevant tasks, protects sensitive information, and supports compliance by ensuring only the right people can access certain data.
Take note
Copying a template's access rules:
Adds to the target template's existing access rules.
Doesn't bring across the template owner or any access rules with pending invites.
Copy a template's access rules
Select Templates from the menu on the left-hand side.
Click the template and select Manage access in the side panel.
In the access builder, click
on the upper-right of the access builder and select Import rules from another template.In the side panel, click the dropdown menu and select the template you want to copy access rules from.
Click Import rules.
Click Save and apply.
In the pop-up window, select No, apply to future only or Yes, apply to all. Please note that the "Yes, apply to all" option overrides existing inspections' access based on the updated access rules. Learn more about retroactively providing inspection access.
