Manage default template and inspection access

Learn how to manage your organization's default template and inspection access via the web app.

What is default template access?

Default template access is a setting which controls the access rules each newly created template follows, rather than having to be set manually. Depending on how your organization uses SafetyCulture, you may want to restrict the visibility of new templates and inspections or seamlessly distribute them to everyone. That's why we've made it possible to choose an option that works best for you.

Take note

  • The two following settings are available to set your organization's default template and inspection access:

    • All users (anyone in my organization): This setting gives all users "Conduct, edit" access to each new template and its inspections.

    • Only the template creator: This setting restricts each new template and its inspections' access to the template creator.

  • Changes to the default access setting only apply to new templates in an organization, not existing ones.
