Convert Word, Excel, and PDF forms into SafetyCulture templates
Learn how to upload and convert Word, Excel, or PDF forms into SafetyCulture (formerly iAuditor) templates via the web app.
What you'll need
Word, Excel, or PDF document that's:
Less than 4MB
Not password protected
Not VBA macro enabled (Excel)
Convert a form into a template
Select Templates from the menu on the left-hand side.
Click
Create on the upper-right corner of the page.
Click browse to upload your Word, Excel, or PDF file, or drag and drop your file in the "Drag your form here" box.
This starts the template conversion. You can keep track of the progress with the progress bar on the page.
Once complete, the Template Editor should load with your form now as a SafetyCulture template. Whilst our Template Editor does its best to interpret the form in the conversion process, we understand that the template might sometimes not turn out to be exactly what you are after. We encourage you to take a look at our template building guide, so you can edit your template further and give it the finishing touch.
If you encounter an error that indicates "This form is too complex", it usually means the form you uploaded is too complex in formatting for the Template Editor to interpret. In this scenario, you can upload your document for our customer enablement team to convert the template for you manually.
