Set multiple-choice response colors
Learn how to set multiple-choice response colors for custom response sets via the web app and the mobile app.
Why set multiple-choice response colors?
Multiple-choice response colors are a great way to visually distinguish between different listed items. You can customize the response colors for your multiple-choice questions to present options more clearly and make reports more visually distinct.

You can make further edits to custom response sets, such as editing the score and marking responses as flagged.
You can use custom colors, by entering the color hex code in the text field when selecting the color of the multiple choice response.
Changes made to a custom response set apply to all questions that use it. If you want to use a different set of response colors, you can create a new custom response set to use.
Published changes made to templates only apply to new inspections moving forward.
Set a response color
Select Templates from the menu on the left-hand side.
Click the template and select Edit template in the side panel.
Select any question and click the down arrow on the right-hand side, under "Type of response".
Click
of the custom response set.In the sidebar on the right-hand side, click the circle on the right-hand side of the response to select the color or type in a custom colour.
Click Save and apply.
Click Publish on the upper-right of the page to publish the template. If you're not ready to publish the template, you can go back to the templates list and come back when you're ready.
Open the mobile app.
Tap Inspections at the bottom of your screen.
Select Templates at the top of your screen.
Tap the template and select
Edit template from the pop-up options.Select any question and tap the down arrow below the question.
Tap
of the custom response set.Tap the circle on the right-hand side of the response to select the color or type in a custom color.
Tap Save and apply.
Tap Publish on the upper-right of your screen to publish the template. If you're not ready to publish the template, you can go back to the templates list and come back when you're ready.
Open the mobile app.
Tap Inspections at the bottom of your screen.
Select Templates at the top of your screen.
Tap the template and select
