Quizzes are different from lesson quizzes, which are created directly within a course and contribute to course completion.
What are Quizzes in SafetyCulture?
Quizzes are an efficient way to re-engage team members who may have forgotten key learnings from training courses by delivering tests at regular intervals. They help check understanding and keep important knowledge fresh.
Unlike lesson quizzes, which are created directly within a course and contribute to course completion, Quizzes are standalone assessments that you can create using a pre-formatted Excel template. Once your Quiz is scheduled, you’ll be able to view analytics and gain insight into individual and group performance.
What you'll need
You can only edit the details of a Quiz, not its questions or answers, so make sure your Excel file is correct before uploading and creating a Quiz.
Create a Quiz
Select Training in the sidebar or select it in More.
Click Content at the top of the page and select Quizzes.
Click Create quiz on the upper-right of the page.
In the pop-up window, click Download template.
Open the Excel file and follow the instructions to prepare your quizzes. If prompted while opening the file, click Enable Macros.
Once you're ready, go back to the web app and click Choose file to upload your file.
Click Upload my file.
Click Continue.
On this page, you can preview the quiz and configure the following settings:
Title and description: Give your Quiz a title and describe the topic.
Assignment: Click Assign in the "Quiz Summary" section to configure who can access the Quiz once it's scheduled.
Leaderboard: In the "Quiz Summary" section, turn "Enable quiz leaderboard" on to allow users to earn points for correct and timely answers.
Retry: In the "Quiz Summary" section, turn "Allow learners to retry incorrect questions" on to automatically re-assess users on any questions they got wrong the next day.
Settings: Click Settings on the upper-right of the page to configure the Quiz's branding and set the language.
Once you're ready, schedule and assign the Quiz to your team.
Edit a Quiz
Select Training in the sidebar or select it in More.
Click Content at the top of the page and select Quizzes.
In the "Quizzes" section, click on the right-hand side of the quiz and select Edit.
Edit the quiz details accordingly.
Changes are saved automatically.
Delete a Quiz
Select Training in the sidebar or select it in More.
Click Content at the top of the page and select Quizzes.
In the "Quizzes" section, click on the right-hand side of the quiz and select Delete.
In the pop-up window, enter "delete" and click Delete quiz.
