Approve inspections
Learn how to approve your team's inspections via the web app and mobile app, so you can review results before the inspection can be completed.To approve inspections on the mobile app, users must be on version 24.23 and above.
Approve an inspection
Select
Inspections in the sidebar or select it in 
More.Click Continue on the inspection's right-hand side.
After reviewing the inspection, navigate to the approval page and answer the questions accordingly.
Click Complete to approve the inspection.
The user will be notified that their inspection has been approved. Please note that approval notifications are subject to the recipients' notification settings.
Open the mobile app.
Tap
Inspections in the navigation bar or select it from More.Select In Progress & Complete tab at the top of your screen.
Tap the inspection and select Continue inspection.
Navigate to the approval page and answer the questions accordingly.
Tap Complete to approve the inspection.
The user will be notified that their inspection has been approved. Please note that approval notifications are subject to the recipients' notification settings.
You can open the approval notification you receive to go straight to the relevant inspection to review and approve its details.
Frequently asked questions
No. Once an inspection with an approval page is approved, it can no longer be edited or marked as incomplete.
If you can't see the option to approve an inspection, your access was likely removed when the inspection's access rules were updated and applied retroactively. You can ask the template owner or a user with the "Override permissions: Manage all data" permission to re-share the inspection with you and give you "View, edit" access so you can approve it.
