Un-mark questions as required

Learn how to un-mark questions as required via the web app and the mobile app.

Published changes made to templates only apply to new inspections moving forward.

Un-mark a question as required

  1. Log in to the web app.

  2. Select Templates from the menu on the left-hand side.

  3. Click the template and select Edit template in the side panel.

  4. Select the question. You can identify required questions by the asterisks (*) next to their question labels.

  5. Uncheck Required below the question label. Mark or un-mark a question as required via the web app.

  6. Click Publish on the upper-right of the page to publish the template. If you're not ready to publish the template, you can go back to the templates list and come back when you're ready.

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Tap Inspections at the bottom of your screen.

  3. Select Templates at the top of your screen.

  4. Tap the template and select Pencil iconEdit template from the pop-up options.

  5. Select the question. You can identify required questions by the asterisks (*) next to their question labels.

  6. Tap image at the lower-right of the question and uncheck Required. Mark/un-mark a question as required in the Template Editor via the mobile app.

  7. Tap Publish on the upper-right of your screen to publish the template. If you're not ready to publish the template, you can go back to the templates list and come back when you're ready.
