Reset gateways

Learn how to reset your gateways purchased from SafetyCulture.

What you'll need

We recommend following the steps outlined in the gateway and sensor troubleshooting guide before proceeding with the steps in this article.

Reset your gateway

The Tektelic KONA Mircro IoT gateway.

  1. Unplug the gateway from the wall.

  2. Unscrew the battery cover at the bottom of the device.

  3. Unplug the battery. You should see a cable with a white connector - pull on the connector to unplug.

  4. Wait 20 seconds.

  5. Reconnect the battery and screw the battery cover back in place.

  6. Plug the gateway back into the wall.

After a few moments, you should see the LED indicator at the front of the device flash green periodically to indicate normal operation. Occasionally, the LED can change to a solid green LED, which also indicates normal operation.

The Ethernet & Wi-Fi indoor Femto gateway.

  1. Disconnect the gateway from power. 

  2. Wait 10 seconds.

  3. Reconnect the gateway to power. The power indicator should change to green while the device is powered up.

If your gateway is still experiencing issues, there is also a factory reset on the back of the device. You will need a pin, paper clip, or similar to press the button for 5 seconds. 

After a few moments, the power indicator should change to red, and all other status indicators should be green.
