Download templates from the Public Library

Learn how to download Public Library templates via the web app and the mobile app.

What is the Public Library?

The Public Library is where SafetyCulture users from different industries can share the templates they've created with each other. With hundreds of thousands of free templates, you can use a template to start inspections immediately or edit them to make them your own.

We encourage customers to share templates they've created with the SafetyCulture community by uploading them to the Public Library.

What you'll need

Please note that if you want to have your templates available for download as PDF, you can upload the templates first in the Public Library.

Download a template

  1. Log in to the web app.

  2. Select Templates from the left-hand side menu.

  3. Select Public Library tab on the top of the page.

  4. On this page, you can search for a template by entering keywords in the search field, filtering by industry from the dropdown menu, or browsing through the list.

  5. Choose to download and edit the template or download and start a new inspection:

    • If you want to download and use the template to start an inspection straight away, click Import & start inspection. This downloads the template to your account and takes you to the new inspection.

    • If you want to download and edit the template, click Edit questions.

  6. If you want to download a template to PDF:

    • In the Public Library, search for the template in the search field or select from "Categories" and click Print as PDF. Download a template as PDF from the Public Library via the web app.

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Tap Assets gallery view iconMore at the lower-right corner of your screen.

  3. Select Library iconPublic Library from the list.

  4. Tap the image at the upper-right corner of your screen. Filter a template from the Public Library via the Android mobile app.

  5. On this screen, make sure "Show my uploaded templates" is turned off and select how you want to sort the Public Library templates.

  6. Tap image at the upper-left corner of your screen.

  7. On this screen, you can tap the magnifying glass icon to search for a template by keywords, or tap CHANGE to filter by industry, or browse through the list.

  8. Tap the template you want to download.

  9. Tap Download to download the template to your account. Once the download is complete, you can start an inspection with the template straight away by tapping START INSPECTION.

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Tap Assets gallery view iconMore at the lower-right corner of your screen.

  3. Select Library iconPublic Library from the list.

  4. Tap the image at the upper-left corner of your screen. Filter a template from the Public Library via the iOS mobile app.

  5. On this screen, make sure "Show my uploaded templates" is turned off, select how you want to sort the Public Library templates, and tap Select Industry to filter your search by industry.

  6. Tap Done at the upper-right corner of your screen.

  7. On this screen, you can search for a template by keywords or browse through the list.

  8. Tap the template you want to download.

  9. Tap Download template to download the template. Once the download is complete, you can start an inspection with the template straight away by tapping Start inspection.
