SafetyCulture mobile app media settings

Take a look at the media-related settings available in the SafetyCulture mobile app.

We currently have a new camera experience available on Android with improved usability and additional functionalities. Try it out by turning the Early Access feature on.

Go to media settings

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Tap Assets gallery view iconMore at the lower-right corner of your screen.

  3. Select Settings from the list of options.

  4. Scroll to the "PHOTO OPTIONS" section.

Media settings

  • Resolution: Allows you to toggle between uploading "Standard" quality photos, which represent the best balance for quality, size, and syncing performance, or "Original" quality photos, which uploads them in their original resolution and file size.

  • Use SafetyCulture's camera: Allows you to toggle between your device's native camera and a custom-built SafetyCulture camera. Using the SafetyCulture camera allows you to take multiple photos at a time and annotate them before adding them to your inspection.

  • Save to Gallery: Save photos taken in SafetyCulture to your device's Gallery.

  • Add coordinates stamp and metadata: Add a location coordinates watermark and location data to the metadata of photos taken in SafetyCulture. Location setting must be enabled for SafetyCulture.

  • Add date and time stamp: Add a date and time watermark to photos taken in SafetyCulture.

  • Select from Files: Enable to select from all files on your device when uploading media. When disabled, you’ll only be able to select and upload media from your Gallery.

  • Save to library: When turned on, photos taken within inspections are saved to the device's photo library.

  • Add date and time stamp: Add a date and time watermark to photos taken in SafetyCulture.

  • Add coordinates stamp: Add a location coordinates watermark to photos taken in SafetyCulture.

  • Resolution: Allows you to toggle between uploading "Standard" quality photos, which represent the best balance for quality, size, and syncing performance, or "Original" quality photos, which uploads them in their original resolution and file size.

Some of the media settings require giving the SafetyCulture mobile app access to your device's camera and photo library or gallery.

If access is revoked at any time, settings may stop working even if they're turned on.
