Change sensor locations

Learn how to change sensor locations via the web app and mobile app.

What are sensor locations?

Sensor locations are used to name where the sensor is positioned. This can be helpful when you have multiple sensors to keep track of. You can change sensor location names to help you quickly differentiate between sensor locations.

What you'll need

Take note

  • Sensor locations are currently different from the sites used in other areas of SafetyCulture, such as Inspections and Actions.

Change a sensor's location

  1. Log in to the web app.

  2. Select Sensors from the menu on the left-hand side.

  3. Click the sensor.

  4. Click image on the top of the page.

  5. In the pop-up window, enter the location name.

  6. Click Save.

  1. Open the mobile app.

  2. Tap User (clear) iconMore at the lower-right corner of your screen.

  3. Select Sensors from the list of options.

  4. Tap the sensor.

  5. Tap image on the top of your screen.

  6. In the pop-up window, enter the location name.

  7. Tap Save.
