Enable or disable issue categories

Learn how to enable or disable issue categories via the web app.

What are issue categories?

Issue categories are used to organize and sort issues reported by your team, allowing you to differentiate hazard-related issues from near-miss ones. Depending on the number of scenarios your organization deals with, you may want to enable issue categories to support more issue types or disable them to only show the ones your organization needs.

Users must have SafetyCulture version 23.32 or later to view more than 10 issue categories.

Enable an issue category

  1. Log in to the web app.

  2. Select Issues from the menu on the left-hand side.

  3. Select Categories at the top of the page.

  4. Click Edit category on the right-hand side of the category.

  5. Click Access on the top of the page.

  6. Click Enable category.

Disable an issue category

  1. Log in to the web app.

  2. Select Issues from the menu on the left-hand side.

  3. Select Categories at the top of the page.

  4. Click Edit category on the right-hand side of the category.

  5. Click Access on the top of the page.

  6. Click Disable category.
