Replace sensor batteries
Learn how to replace the batteries for both the iAuditor and Monnit sensors.
Take note
So that you follow the correct set of instructions, please see which type of sensor you have below and what you'll need to replace each type of sensor.
iAuditor
3 x Energizer Lithium AA batteries
Monnit Industrial
Phillips head screwdriver
1 x 3.6V AA battery
Monnit Commercial
Phillips head screwdriver
2 x Alkaline (regular) AA batteries
Replace sensor batteries
Switch off the sensor by holding the button for three seconds until the light flashes purple three times and powers off.
Remove the main body of the sensor from the mounting bracket using the side clips.
Turn to the back of the sensor.
Unclip the battery hatch.
Remove all three Energizer Lithium AA batteries and insert the new ones. Make sure the batteries are inserted in the correct orientations.
Clip-on the battery hatch.
Insert the sensor back inside the mounting bracket.
Switch the sensor back on by holding the power button for two seconds until the light flashes purple and then continues to blink.
Dismount the sensor.
Turn the sensor off.
Unscrew the battery cover.
Replace the batteries.
Screw the battery cover back on.
Switch the sensor back on.
Re-mount the sensor in its location.
